Botox Injections
Botox has been approved by the FDA to be injected into the forehead, around the eyes, and near the mouth to reduce the appearance of unwanted age-lines and wrinkles. This medical composition is derived from the toxin that is responsible for food poisoning, so that injection amounts must be monitored carefully.
Many people believe that beauty is worth the cost at any price, but for those on a budget, Botox injections can become expensive when your body type or wrinkle style prevents top performance. Botox injections last between 2-weeks and 9-months depending upon individual immunities to this substance.
Deeply engraved lines on the face cannot be completely removed by simply injecting some Botox. Skin lines can be puffed-up, but to completely disappear, the deep lines will require multiple treatments of Botox and also additional cosmetic procedures. Many people with deep lines also feel that they look strange after the lines have been removed.
Wrinkle lotions and creams are widely available in various formulas that do help reduce the appearance of wrinkles if used faithfully over a long period of time.
There are other wrinkle reduction methods on the marketplace for those who do not want to chance allergic reactions, improper injections, or a natural immunity to Botox.
